Tiffany and Bill Base Ball Park, Inlet, New York

Would you believe that I played little league baseball on the Inlet Mets summer team?  I didn't think so, but it's true, I swear!  I got the worst uniform and had to stand in the outfield in the hot sun.  There were no grand stands, as in this view of an Inlet base ball park, when I was a little baseball star, and I have no clue who "Tiffany and Bill" are, but it's a nice shot, isn't it?

Small Local Bookshops: The Adirondack Reader

One of the places I love to go in Inlet is the Adirondack Reader bookshop.  It is a small, friendly, local place; the kind of place where they remember your name and what books you like.  Reggie Chambers owns and runs the shop.  Of course, it has a much more limited inventory than Amazon or Borders, but it has charm, character; it's like a cozy living room where you can sit and read or browse and visit with friends.  The shop carries a good selection of children's books and Adirondack design and history, as well as fiction and gifts.  I think it is my favorite store in Inlet. There aren't many stores, it's true, but this one is worth a visit.
