Pen and Ink Drawings of David R.C. Oster

A few years ago, my parents discovered a local artist named David R.C. Oster. David works in pen and ink and does wonderfully detailed drawings. Many of his subjects are beautiful adirondack camps, including the drawing we commissioned a few years ago. David is now focusing more on nature drawings, which are extraordinary. Detailed and hand colored, they are an expression of his talent, not to mention his patience with his art and his subjects. We became friends with David and his friend Tyler, whose family has a house right across Fourth Lake from Penwood. David works and lives in Utica, New York, and frequently appears at local art and craft shows.

I found David Oster in Savannah GA eleven years ago, and have been searching for him again for years. Just today found your blog post about him. My husband and I own one of his drawings and would love to get more, but have been unable to find him. Will you PLEASE PLEASE put me in touch with him? I would so appreciate it!!

  2. We will also attest to this artist's wonderful talent. David is a friend and we have been pleased to represent him in our gallery for a number of years. He travels often and can be difficult to reach. We are always happy to help put people in touch with him for commissioned work. We also carry his prints and some originals in our gallery and on line. R.C. has a website at http://www.theartofrc.com where you can contact him to buy prints or commission drawings. We commissioned a drawing of our house after seeing his work at a local show.
